Bjärtrå is a small parish with 349 inhabitants and a whisky distillery – Box Whisky. It is located in Ådalen about 100 kilometres north of Sundsvall and 600 kilometres north of Stockholm, in Sweden. To understand just how far up north this is, the winter lasts for five months and the 63rd parallel goes straight trough Box Distillery warehouse. The unspoiled nature of this part of Sweden is breathtaking with its dense forests, wide-open spaces and clean air. Out in the wild you can see moose, lynx and brown bears and if you’re lucky you may see the Northern Lights.
